Last Challange: Lab D

The last lab i had to teach in my time my time in 255 was Omnikin. A team based game that is played with a monstrous sized ball. This lab posed problems i had not encountered up until this point. Their were problems acquiring the equipment i wanted and planned on using in my lesson. This was unfortunate but is a natural occurrence in the world of teaching so it helped me grow even further.

Let us take a look.
Here is the transcript of what i say.

Not having the rquipment made me adapt what i was going to do. As i have learned its not the tools but the teacher that makes a lesson. You don't need to rely on the tools you have to rely on your teaching. I got different equipment and taught the skills and concepts i wanted to. This is what it means to become a teacher.

As i continue learning and refining how i teach i will remember this is where it all began. These were the big first steps in the right direction. From the first time teaching until now i feel like i have learned and improved exponentially. My whole mind set and demeanor has evolved. As i move forward i want to continue getting better and learning new things.

Every Journey Starts Somewhere: Parkour Resource Packet

Having the opportunity to teach something you are interested in or passionate about is always exciting. I got such an opportunity for my Teaching Lab C. I got the chance to learn more about Parkour than ever because i had to teach it. The best way to learn something is when you have to teach it. This experience also allowed me to put together a Resource packet for a possible parkour unit in a school. This is a starting point and can be added to changed and adapted as time goes on.

Take a look and see what you think for yourself. Resource Packet
